Health & Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to join the Operations team at the Emu Plains branch. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries, as well as ensuring compliance with WHS regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs to reduce workplace injuries.
• Create and deliver safety training programs for all staff, with special attention to job-specific hazards.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions or work practices.
• Investigate accidents and injuries, recommend corrective actions, and coordinate follow-ups.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal WHS rules and regulations, keeping up to date with any changes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure new equipment, facilities, and methods meet safety standards.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong knowledge of state and National WHS regulations.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar Health & Safety role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving improvements.
• A collaborative mindset, working across teams to enhance processes and workplace safety.
