Our client is a leader in AML/CTF audit and consultancy services in Aotearoa, supporting businesses across all industries to understand and meet their AML regulatory obligations. With impressive growth over recent years, they’ve expanded their client base and extended their services into Australia. They’re now seeking a new consultant to join their tight-knit team in a junior to intermediate position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and implementing comprehensive AML compliance programs tailored to client needs.
  • Support gap analyses and enhancements to existing AML frameworks.
  • Participate in detailed AML risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure client AML programs comply with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Help develop and enhance transaction monitoring systems and procedures.
  • Assist in investigations of suspicious activities and prepare reports.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate client staff on AML best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants to provide strategic insights and practical solutions to AML challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for clients and regulatory bodies.

About You:

  • A strong interest in AML compliance and financial crime prevention.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in AML, compliance, or financial services is a plus but not essential.
  • A degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
